"Keep Old Glory New" Featured with Air Force Band
David's Patriotic Rock Song "Keep Old Glory New" will be featured in this summer's US Air Force Band Of Flight program. David will perform with the Air Force Band of Flight at selected venues. The Air Force has commissioned a special arrangement of the song for their concert band with full horn section, percussion and vocal harmonies. The Band of Flight operates out of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The special arrangement of "Keep Old Glory New" was debuted at this years Freedom's Call Military Tattoo. Performance royalties from "Keep Old Glory New" and portions of any proceeds from sales of Davids cd "Wind Over Texas" are also donated to help veterans from all branches of service, and all eras.

DW Cousino Band Big Hit at Middletown Balloon Festival

Dave and the band were a big hit at the Mid-Ohio Challenge and Balloon Festival on July 20. Weather and music were both hot, with temps getting into triple digits. Reviews of the performance were outstanding, and people continue to groove on the originals!  The DW Cousino Band includes drummer Brian Humanic and bassist Paul Saas, to form the Rockin' Blues trio.

David on YouTube

One of the areas that guitarists consistently struggle with is rhythm. I got David to share some of his lesson material on video and posted them on YouTube. The first video focused on Basic Rhythm and subdividing time. The second video adds stylistic elements of funk and metal. Click below to view the vids.

David On GodTube

GodTube.com is a cool new site and you guessed it, it's Youtube without the questionable content. David had the opportunity to play at Preston Ridge in Frisco TX and we captured the video of his live performance of Amazing Grace.

Music Professionals at your service
There's a lot of turmoil in the music business today. Some caused by technology allowing the opening up of new markets and reducing the cost of producing quality product. Some of it is caused by an industry that's had over 40 years of growth and continued to operate on a business model that is outdated and cost heavy, and in many cases, unfriendly to the artist. Some of it is just natural movement in markets, people change, some get old, and younger generations come up and they don't like what we used to like. Oldies to me were Bill Haley and the Comets, Frankie Avalon, Count Basie, the great jazzers. Oldies to my kids are the Beatles and Aerosmith and the Stones.

But we believe that some parts of the business haven't changed. A good song is still a good song. A copyright has value. Music needs a commercial outlet to be viable. There is still talent required on the either side of the microphone to create something  that makes everybody go yeah! That's what we try to do here, whether it's ourselves, our bands, as an engineer, or consulting at a church on sound issues; we try to get people to say, YEAH!
Songs without  music are  just poetry. It's not bad, it's just not music. The ability to write coherently and concisely might make you a writer, but not a songwriter" -author unknown
